I’m even more excited to share with you that I’m doing a full-blown book club with this selection!  Welcome to the HEART Book Club!

In HEART, Rachael covers the following:

  • Have a Heart for the Things of God
  • Enrich Your Marriage
  • Accept Your Kids
  • Release Them to God
  • Teach Them Truth

The HEART Book Club kicks off on January 2, 2011 and runs through February 27.  Each Monday I’ll be posting a recap and reflection on the current chapter and invite you to share your thoughts in the comments and/or link up a post on that chapter from your own blog.  {See link-up guidelines.}

Here’s the complete schedule.  The dates signify the discussion and link up date.  You’ll want to read the chapter during the week prior to its discussion date.

  • January 2 – Kickoff!
  • January 9 – Introduction
  • January 16 – Chapter 1
  • January 23 – Chapter 2
  • January 30 – Chapter 3
  • February 6 – Chapter 4
  • February 13 – Chapter 5
  • February 20 – Epilogue
  • February 27 – Wrap up

Rachael Carman will be joining us too!  She’ll be sharing weekly thoughts via the Apologia Live Blog.

I’ve also teamed up with some wonderful moms who will be sharing their stories and experiences related to the topics in HEART.  Each week, you’ll get to hear from one of these moms:

And what fun would a book club be without some giveaways?  I’ve teamed up with Apologia to bring you three, yes 3, amazing giveaways!  The first of those giveaways will go live next week.  {Hint – it starts with a “b” and rhymes with “ook”!}

I’ve created a couple additional ways for you to get to know and interact with the participants.  If you like Facebook, join our group there.  Prefer Twitter?  Use #HEART4YourKids when you tweet.

Last, but not least, I’ve created an email newsletter list so you can get all the latest right into your inbox each week.  My special free gift to those who join the email list is a printable PDF discussion guide / journal.  It’s the perfect companion to your reading and prayer time as you study this book.  Hop over and sign up.  Once you confirm your subscription, you’ll be taken to the download page for the journal.  I promise not to spam you.  You’ll get a weekly recap on Fridays during the book club plus a few additional announcements and reminders between now and the wrap-up.

I want to start 2012 off on the right foot and I hope you’ll join me.  I’m praying the this book club will be a shelter for your heart.  I’m praying that you’ll come out on the other side closer to God, your husband, and your kids and having made a few new friends in the process!

So, are you in?  Pick up a copy of the book.  Join the Facebook group.  Follow me on Twitter and tweet with #HEART4YourKids.  Sign up for the newsletter.  Grab the buttons to share on your blog.  And leave a comment on this post to let everyone know that you’re joining us!
