1. I love Scholaric‘s tagline: The more learning, less typing homeschool planning system. And it’s so true. It takes literally seconds to add a lesson to the planner.
2. I love that Scholaric is the best of both worlds: It’s like an electronic paper planner. Adding a lesson is as simple as writing the information into a box on a paper planner, but because it’s online, I can easily change or move a lesson without all the mess of erasures or scribbles or running out of space.
3. I love the simple clean look of Scholaric. No ads or mess to deal with. Just planning space. Take a look:

4. I love that Scholaric allows me to be as simple or as detailed with my homeschool planning as I want. Take a look at this sample of a a week of my planning for Jonathan, who is in Kindergarten:

5. I love that with Scholaric, I can print out my lesson plans in daily and weekly formats. I like to use this feature to print completed lessons to PDF and save in Jonathan’s electronic portfolio.
6. I love that Scholaric allows for tracking of grades and hours. I don’t have to do this in my state and especially at the grade level we’re at right now, but I know this is a helpful feature for those in states with more stricts homeschooling rules. Attendance is also automatically tracked for you.
7. I love that Scholaric allows you to share lessons across students. If I were homeschooling more than one child, I could easily make the lesson show up on more than one students lesson plan. I could even make additional notes that apply to the individual children on their lesson plan.

8. I love that I can create repeating lessons in Scholaric. That means faster input and less time typing.
9. I love that I can use Scholaric on any device from anywhere. I can put in my lessons on my Mac and then use my iPad or my iPhone while we’re schooling. All you need is a web browser!
10. I love that Scholaric was created by a homeschooling dad. Jeff understands what homeschoolers need and he’s always adding new features to make Scholaric even better! He listens to his users and he quick to respond by email and Twitter (@scholaric).
You can try Scholaric for FREE for 15 days. I hope you love it as much as I do! Scholaric is offering one of my readers a free six month subscription. Just follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter form below to enter.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the HEART Book Club! It has been a wonderful time getting to know each of you and reading through Rachael’s book together.
You’ve said it to your kids – but did you know God is saying it to you? In fact, your heavenly Father wants to tell you the same things you’ve probably told your children:
“I remember the day you were born.”
“Turn down the music!”
“This is going to hurt me more than it’s going to hurt you.”
“Hold my hand.”
Rachael Carman knows how noisy it can get when you’re raising children – she has seven! SoundBites from Heaven will help you hear God’s still, small voice in the chaos of carpools, cut fingers, and carpet crawlers. You’ll learn how to listen to God’s instructions for YOU, while you parent your children.
Apologia will be hosting a 52 week link up beginning on April 1 called Soundbites From My Life. Watch the Apologia Live Blog for more info and the start of that link-up.
You’re going to want a copy of the book so you can participate! So, to cap off the HEART Book Club, we’re giving away 3 copies of Soundbites From Heaven. Follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter form below.
More information will be coming soon about my next book club, which will start the first week in April. Subscribe to The Pelsers by email so you won’t miss a thing!
