Brooke talks about a sense of fear in parenting… I call it the fear that I’ll mess up my kids. I always thought I couldn’t be a “boy mom” and yet I knew that God was going to give me boys. Everything that I do as mom affects them. That’s a sobering reality. What am I doing to point them to God? At the same time, God reminds me that it isn’t about me. It is humbling when I see my boys thrive and succeed in spite of me.
This has been an incredible journey. I intend to regularly pray these sets of scriptures over my boys. I also plan to find additional scriptures to pray over my boys.
I’m reading a couple of other parenting books right now too. I’ll conclude my 21 days of prayer series with some follow up resources that you might like.
