Gail Ledbetter has created an amazing resources for homeschoolers called the Timeline of Classics. It’s 82 pages of books, plays, and films that have been categorized into the four major periods of history.

For each suggested resource, you’ll find the following:
- Title
- Author
- Level(s) Appropriate for: Elementary, Middle, and/or High School
- Details about where in history the book fits
- Some books have additional information about the format or links for obtaining the resource
I can’t imagine the time and years of research that must have gone into creating Timeline of Classics. This will be a resource that I’m sure I will go back to over and over again through our years of homeschooling. I’m currently using Timeline of Classics to help me create our list of books for studying ancient history this year.
