Wow. I have come to the end of my first month with 3 in 30. {See the details of my goals for August.} How'd I do? I'd say not too bad, but there's definitely room for improvement.
- Reclaim my mornings – My alarm is currently set for 6:15am. I had several slip ups and bad mornings {especially the week that Josh was on call}, but for the most part, I was up by 6:30am each morning. I signed up for the fall session of Hello Mornings which begins mid-September. I found that accountability is key in this area. I need Josh's nudge and the encouragement of my Twitter friends.
- Reclaim my house – I loved reading 31 Days to Clean this month. I completed the readings and did around 1/2 of the challenges. Again, it was the on call week that really threw me off. {Hmmm. Do I sense a theme?} I feel like I've come out on the other side with a better expectation of myself and my home. I did not come up with a good schedule for managing my home, though the challenges helped me knock out some big things that I won't need to touch again for a while.
- Research and Implement Blogging Best Practices – I worked on several behind the scenes things around the blog this month and easily reach my goal of implementing some best practices.
Now let's jump into September!
- Reclaim my mornings – This goal needs to stay for a while. By the end of the month, I need to be getting up at 6am. I'm signed up and ready to be assigned to a Hello Mornings group. My quiet times this month will be spent in Seasons of a Mother's Heart, 1 John, and 21 days of Prayer for Sons. So, I want to be up by 6am and having my quiet time consistently as my first morning priority.
- Reclaim my house – I'm going through 31 Days to Clean again this month with Homemaker's Challenge. In addition to sticking with the readings and challenges as much as possible, my goal is to come out at the end of the month with a routine that works well for me, my family, and my home. I found Create Your Perfect Cleaning Schedule this week and I'm going to use that among other resources to develop my routine. As a bonus if I can fit it in, I also want to make my monthly meal planning board prettier and more inviting to use.
- Take blog to the next level – There are several things that I need to do this month. Read this ProBlogger book that I borrowed from a friend. Create new logo. Determine costs and create a budget for a couple of conference that I'm interested in. Create a media and sponsorship kit.
