Do you ever think that God can't love you? I've done to much wrong for him to rescue me? I'm too bad? I'm not good enough. He just can't love me.
I'm happy to report, that's not true. God can and does love you.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ–by grace you have been saved…
Ephesians 2:4-5
Even while you are in the middle of your worst sins, God loves you. It is from the middle of that sin that God can save you.
But, you can't save yourself. No matter how hard you try, no matter how many good works you try to do. You can't earn salvation.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9
Stop believing the lie that God can't love you. He says right here in His Word that He does love you. Stop believing that you can save yourself. God tells you in His Word that you can't do it on your own, rather it is a gift from God.
