Time for a 3 in 30 check-in. Week 3 of September. Details of my goals are back in this post.
How'd I do this week?
- Reclaim my mornings – I've been up at 6:15am each morning this week! No snoozing! That's a huge accomplishment. I stumble straight to my reading chair from the bed. I'm aiming for 6am next week. Eeek! That's early. Seasons of a Mother's Heart continues to be a wonderful part of my mornings. 1 John started on Monday. Loving it! I'll tell you more about the first week and how I'm studying 1 John in a couple days.
- Reclaim my house – No great progress here. I feel like I spend most of my time spinning my wheels. By the time I maintain laundry, the kitchen, and make sure the messes that little boys leave are taken care of, there's no time or energy to do anything else. I guess, on the bright side, I really am handling the essentials. On the other side, it's the deep cleaning that isn't happening. And I've been decluttering and purging this month. A lot of purging. My family has become a little afraid of my requests to come sit and look through “stuff” with me. So, am I being a perfectionist? With a house full of boys, I'm thinking that I might need to lower my standards a bit… Maybe weekly lists just aren't the right strategy for me.
- Take blog to the next level – I've attended a couple of wonderful webinars this week. I've been brainstorming thoughts about a logo and hope to bounce those off of my amazingly talented and artistic friend Dee while we're at Women of Faith this weekend. I've done a little research {I heart researching!} on media kits, advertising, and sponsorships. There are so many things that I want to do and they are starting to blur together. I must slow down next week and break it all down into manageable chunks and an appropriate order.
What are your goals for this month? What are you doing to accomplish them?
