3in30 Challenge

Time for a 3 in 30 check-in.  Week 4 of September.  Details of my goals are back in this post.

How'd I do this week?

  1. Reclaim my mornings – I didn't make it to 6am yet, but with the exception of this morning, I've been up at 6:15am with the alarm this week.  Today I turned off the alarm and started to get up… and Josh found me curled up with the blanket at 7:15am.  Ooops!  I'm loving my time in 1 John and Seasons of a Mother's Heart each morning.
  2. Reclaim my house – I didn't feel like I was making progress in this area, but now looking back over the month, really did.  I'm figuring out what the essentials are for running my home smoothly.  I don't have a weekly checklist and that doesn't seem to be my best plan right now.  My best plan is to focus on my attitude and the essentials.  I'm very happy with my meal planning board.  That combined with freezer cooking makes the days run better.
  3. Take blog to the next level – I finished the book I wanted to read.  I worked on one of the cost sheets ~ which then lead me to wonder if I should pursue that conference or not.  I have some logo ideas sketched.  I don't want to move ahead with the media kit stuff until the logo is done.

And now for October!

  1. Be consistant with my morning routine – I feel like I have reclaimed my mornings.  My focus now is on maintaining my routine and moving my wake up time back to 6am by the end of the month.
  2. Reading – I have a pile of books that I am in the middle of reading or want to read.  In addition to being consistant with 1 John, Seasons of a Mother's Heart, and Educating the WholeHearted Child, I'm starting to read Grace for the Good Girl weekly.  Of these books on my Fall reading list, I want to finish Spiritual Parenting and read either Up, Down, or Sideways or How to Have a H.E.A.R.T for Your Kids this month.  {The second book will be determined by when the book from Tyndale House arrives to review.}
  3. 31 Days to… – I've gone back and forth on this, not wanting to do it…  but I feel like I'm supposed to jump into the this with both feet and trust God.  I'm going to be writing 31 posts this month on….  Well, you'll just have to come back on October 1st for the big reveal and join me every day in October for a post on the topic.

How did your September goals go?  What are your goals for October?
