About a week ago, I saw through Twitter and some blogs that Google was preparing to test their Chrome OS and inviting people to apply to be beta testers. I'm already a die-hard Google user – from Gmail and Google Reader to Google Docs and Google Calendar. I live in “the cloud” for the most part. I love playing with new technology and I don't mind dealing with some quirks, so I thought I'd apply. Never in a million years did I think that I'd really be selected…
Today, I arrived home from running errands to find a package on the front porch. Being that it is only a week until Christmas, I was hesitant to open a nondescript package, fearing that I'd be ruining a Christmas present from Josh. But it had my name on it. So I opened it. My next thought was that someone had sent a package for Jonathan for Christmas. I dug in further, wondering what was in this inner box:
Then, it hit me. Maybe it was a Google Chrome OS notebook. I opened this interesting box… and sure enough, this was inside:
My very own Cr-48 Google Chrome OS Notebook. I giggle and squealed. That got Jonathan's attention and he wanted to play with it. I said, Mommy first 🙂
I had a little time to play this afternoon and then write this blog post tonight. I'll share my thoughts and experiences along the way. You never know; a Google Chrome OS notebook could end up being your next computer.
Do you want to be a tester to? Learn more and apply. Hurry. They are only accepting applications through December 21.
