I'm linking up with the L.E.N.S. Photo Challenge again. The theme this week is summer time.
This is Jonathan with his cousin Luke at the Biola University graduation a few weeks ago.
For many years, the beginning of summer for us has been marked by graduations. This year it was Leanna and Laura's turn to graduate from Biola University. They are the final Pelser children in a long line of Biola graduates: Josh, Adam (Luke's dad), Corrie, and now the twins. Plus, Adam's wife Katie (Luke's mom) is a Biola grad and I graduated from Talbot, the school of theology at Biola. On top of that, Josh's dad is expected to receive his MA at Biola at the end of the fall semester. Think we like Biola? We won't see any more summers kicked off with graduations now until these cousins graduate from high school.
I love how both boys are so into what is going on; believe me that wasn't the case for most of the graduation! The boys don't get to see each other very often since we live in different states, but you can see that they are fast friends.
This time, I wanted to see what I could do with editing a photo on my iPad. I used an app called Photogene. I cut out a little bit of distracting background on the right hand side to zero-in on the boys. I added a very slight inner glow frame and the copyright text. I'm happy with the results. I think I'll be using this app frequently. It is much easier and faster than using Photoshop Elements for a small project or on the go.
