The Pelsers

A Shelter for the Heart

April Goals

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my full disclosure statement here.

Well, hello there April!  Is it just me, or is this year flying by?  I have a BIG project that I must get through this month and a couple of slightly smaller goals.

  1. Move my blog to new host.  I'm moving from GoDaddy to BlueHost.  We started with GoDaddy years and years ago, but we cannot endorse their practices and feel the we must move to a new host.  Now that our hosting with GoDaddy is almost up, it's time to move my blog over.  This is going to be a BIG behind the scenes project.  We've been on BlueHost for a few months now for my Finding Joy in Depression site and have been very happy with them and highly recommend them if you're looking for a new host.
  2. Pay off Josh's student loan.  We're so close to meeting this goals far earlier than we ever could have imagined at the beginning of the year.  We're currently on track to meet this goal 8 months early!  We now stand at less than $1,000 to go.  Josh is expecting a quarterly incentive/commission check this month that should cover a large chunk.  We're praying that I can come up with the rest by way of leftovers in various budget categories and VA/TA services.  You can read about our initial goal and our February update.
  3. Read/Study Pursuit of Proverbs 31 by Amy Bayliss.  My study of Ephesians with Good Morning Girls is about to end.  I was hoping to join a study Pursuit of Proverbs 31 along with Homemaker's Challenge, but March was too busy to add this in.  So, I'm going to go through it during the Good Morning Girls “break.”  I'm going to post thoughts on Sundays from this book.  I'm not going to post a schedule, but I'll be trying to do 2+ chapters each week in order to finish before the next Good Morning Girls study starts in May.  I'll include a link up in case anyone else wants to share their thoughts and read with me.  Take a look at my review of Amy's book.
