Desperate

No more desperate moms!

Many older moms aren't mentoring younger moms. Younger moms lack the training and are trying to live out unrealistic expectations that they've put in themselves.

No more desperate moms!

First, let me say that I love Sally Clarkson. She's a mentor to many moms through her writing and conferences. Her books have been such a blessing to me for several years. I even had a chance to work with her and Mom Heart early last year. And Sarah Mae? Her ebook 31 Days to Clean made a huge change in how I see my role in caring for my home. Now, put these two fabulous women together and how can you not come out with a fabulous book that will minister to moms?

Desperate is both a comforting and inspiring book. Each chapter begins with a sections from Sarah Mae, the typical younger mom with younger kids. She explains a trial, a mindset, a frustration that holds her back from her full potential as a mom. Then Sally takes over as the older mentoring mom and reassures Sarah and us all that those feelings and experiences are normal. Sally points us to God and trains moms in how to change our lives to be a better mom. I loved this back and forth conversation. Each chapter overflows with understanding and training. Then end of each chapter has scriptures to study, questions to ponder, and a something to do section to help you apply what you've read.

This is a must read book for all moms! It needs to be read in community. So gather a group and get reading! Get your copy of Desperate in paperback or Desperate on Kindle.

I'll be re-reading and digging in further with moms online through the spring. I'm co-leading a group with Jodi from Granola Mom 4 God. We kick off next Monday, January 14. Keep an eye out for more information coming really soon! While you're waiting, go get a copy of the book and join our Desperate Book Club FB group.
