Are you a blogger? Then today's post is for you.
I was given the opportunity to review 31 Days to Finding Your Blogging Mojo by Bryan Allain. I'm always looking for ways to improve my blog and my writing so I jumped at the chance to read and review this ebook.
First, I have to tell you that this book is hilarious. I was not prepared for how funny it would be. Seriously. Bryan is fall over, side-splitting funny. There are even jokes taken from Bryan's blog that serve as a bridge between the chapters.
What's blogging mojo? Why do I want it? I think that this quote from day one answers those questions and sums up the entire book very well:
Blogging Mojo is writing about things you are passionate about for people who share your passion. It's creating conversation and community around the exchange of honest thoughts and questions. It's being “the real you” online to a group of people that resonate with the things that move you. – Day 1
The ebook is set up in 31 readings. Each reading has a “mojo action” to help you find or refine what you're passionate about, improve your writing. and engage your audience. These actions are practical steps and small activities that will make you look at your blog and your writing with a new perspective. You could read the book daily for a month or take a weekend retreat to focus on your blogging.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It only took me a couple hours to read through the whole book. The amount of information crammed into these pages in phenomenal. Bryan's humor makes it so easy to read what could otherwise be a dry and boring subject. I'm planning to go back through this book very soon and doing all the “mojo action” steps.
