Desperate: Chapter 5
This chapter is all about depression. Oh, this is a topic I know all too well.
I've dealt with depression for probably half my life. The type of depression I have is called dysthymia. It's a mild yet chronic form of depression. This kind of depression is always there and it doesn't really go away. I'm just naturally a little lower than most people. My ups and downs happen at a lower level.
It wasn't until my oldest was about 2 years old that I faced my depression and got help. I wrote about my story in my ebook Finding Joy in Depression. I found help in medicine and in natural ways such as essential oils.
Sally has an excellent check list in this chapter for dealing with depression – whether that depression is short-term situational, dysthymia, or something more severe. Be sure to read her check-list and apply it.
If you are dealing with depression, please seek help. Find a trusted friend to talk to. Seek medical advice. If you need some additional strength and courage to seek help, read my ebook Finding Joy in Depression to see how I sought help and ways that I use to manage my depression.
