In my life this week…
- working hard on my 3 in 30 goals.
- I'm now getting up at 6:20am. {Would some morning person come sprinkle their morning person dust on me?}
- wondering how to keep my boys in bed a little longer in the mornings. Now that I'm up earlier, they want to be too.
- my first monthly post went live this week at The Homeschool Classroom!
In our homeschool this week…
- Math. Lots of math using Math Mammoth Addition 1.
- On Wednesday,
[blackbirdpie url=”http://twitter.com/#!/apelser/status/101329875381665792″]
- I added Pathway readers and workbooks back into our schedule to help ease us back into a school year schedule. Jonathan is now working on More Days Go By, the third book in the 1st Grade set.
- Jonathan can successfully identify vowels and tell me if the vowel is long or short in a word.
Places we're going and people we're seeing…
- Women of Faith Imagine in Charlotte is just over a month away! I'm excited to be attending thanks to BookSneeze!
My favorite thing this week was…
- watching Jacob try to take a step. He fell right over when he let go, but it won't be long before he's walking.
- watching Jacob carry things through the house using his mouth.
Things I'm working on…
- facilitating a group to study 1 John in conjunction with GoodMorningGirls.org. Want to join me?
I'm reading…
- Educating the Wholehearted Child by Clay and Sally Clarkson. I'm loving this book. {Hint, hint: You might want to keep a close eye on my blog this coming week for a very special giveaway from Apologia.} Join me is discussing the book if you've read it or are reading it.
I'm grateful for…
- my friend Dee. She's such a sweetheart. She so real and so talented. I loved having her stop by to chat over some tea yesterday morning. Go check out her blog!
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
- I'm giving away a year of blog hosting. {Ends 8/13!}
- I reviewed Scholaric Homeschool Planner this week. This planner has made my homeschool lesson planning so much easier! Scholaric is giving away a free 6 month subscription to one of my readers. {Ends 8/19}
