Kids in the Word Wednesdays

Is God a Person?

The answer is yes.

When we came upon this question in Who is God? last week, I thought Jonathan would struggle with it.  He didn't really seem to. {Wish I had that faith.}  Understanding that what makes someone a person is not their body helped clarify his understanding.

So, what makes a person?

  • Thoughts
  • Emotions
  • Choices
  • Knowing right from wrong

Even though God doesn't have a body, he has all these traits.  We were created in His image and we possess these traits too, but sin has tainted them.  We have to learn to use our thoughts, emotions, and choices in a godly way.  We had quite the discussion about how we need to follow God with these traits of personhood.

How have you kept your kids in the Word this week?  Leave a comment or link up a blog post.  {See guidelines here.}
