No A/C.
Not a fun way to return home from vacation.
I've been doing my best to get things done around the house and keep the kids cool. That has not included blogging… sorry. Just too hot in the office. I have pictures and stories to share from vacation, but I cannot sit in this room for very long in the afternoons (the time of day I usually have to sneak a few minutes to write). Plus, the boys and I are still transitioning back from CA time so we've been sleeping kind of late in the mornings (the other time I can sneak a few minutes).
Despite the heat, Jonathan has been working hard on his schoolwork between trips to the pool in the backyard and riding his bike. I think he will have Sonlight P4/5 finished by the end of July – maybe even by the time we head back to California for Josh's sister Corrie's wedding. Then we'll jump into…. kindergarten in late August. Wow, kindergarten. That's crazy. It is a year before he would start if in public school, but he's ready. Plus, we're homeschooling. I can call it whatever I want. 🙂
The temp peaked in the house at 90F this afternoon. The repairman is supposed to be on his way with the part they had to order.
Desperately praying that this is fixed today.
I'll be back when the A/C is fixed. Unless we melt first…
