It's official. We've started our math curriculum. We're using Saxon Math K. I've been holding on to it for months waiting for the right time to start, so math up to this point has been very informal for us. I skimmed the first few lessons last week and decided that he could certainly handle the “formal” math curriculum.
We've blown through the first 10 lessons in less than a week. We've worked on learning how to use a calendar, 1 to 1 correspondance counting, a little graphing, and ABAB patterns. In these pictures, Jonathan is playing with the math link cubes. See the green and orange stack? That's his ABAB pattern from this morning.
