Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil

We've been using Tropical Traditions Gold Label Coconut Oil for the past few months.

I love the idea of using coconut oil as a healthy alternative for my family, but Josh in particular is very sensitive to variations in taste and texture. He doesn't care for the taste of coconut in foods that he doesn't think that coconut should be in. That's what is awesome about this high quality coconut – the taste of the coconut is very subtle. I don't taste much coconut at all.

The Gold Label coconut oil from Tropical Traditions is perfect for cooking. I've used it for popcorn, for chicken, and for homemade chocolate with much success.

In case you're not aware, coconut oil also has many topical uses that are also beneficial and healing for your body. Tropical Traditions coconut oil is great in homemade personal care products. I used it as one of the main ingredients in hard lotion and lip balm for Christmas gifts. I also mixed it 1:1 with shea butter and a few drops of Young Living Gently Baby essential oil blend as a diaper rash cream for Jacob that was highly effective on a really bad rash.

Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil in the 32oz size that we received usually retails at $40/jar plus shipping. (By the way, I was quite impressed with the shipping – well padded and protected. There's no way that glass jar was going to break in transit!) I know that sounds high, but the quality is worth it. But, note that Tropical Traditions regular runs deals through their newsletter, including BOGO sales and free shipping offers. We'll be buying through them in the future for our coconut oil needs.

Head over to the Tropical Traditions website to see more about their company, their products, their quality and be sure to sign up for their newsletter.

Disclaimer: My family was given a jar of coconut oil in exchange for a honest review.
