Earlier this morning, I was receiving a malware warning when visiting my site that looked like this:
It appears as though anyone linking to The M.O.B. Society Button could have this malware warning come up for their site until Erin is able to clear the issue with her domain. To rid your domain of this warning, you'll need to temporarily remove The M.O.B. Society Button from your blog. This does not apply if you downloaded the image and linked to The M.O.B. Society, only if you're linking directly to the image which is hosted at Erin's URL.
I thought I'd found every reference to the image, but I was still getting the warning. After much searching with Google for an answer, I used Web Sniffer to find any additional links to Erin's URL. Go to Web Sniffer, enter your URL. Do a search on the page for Erin's URL. Then go to your blog and remove those instances. Your site should immediately be cleared. Once Erin's URL is cleared, you'll be able to add any buttons back to your blog.
This process will work anytime you're linking to someone who has been flagged as distributing malware and your domain has been flagged but is clean.
M.O.B. Society mommas, please feel free to “right click and save image as” on this M.O.B. Society image and use it on your site.
Homeschool and M.O.B. mommas, if you need assistance, please feel free to email me using my contact form or send me a message on Twitter. I'll do my best to help you out as I can today. Please pray for Erin as she clears up her malware issues!
Edited to add: Erin has now changed the button code at The M.O.B. Society. You can download the new button code from The M.O.B. Society directly.
