I took a blogging break through the holidays. It was intended to be a short break to give some extra time to my family and focus on a project for Kids in the Word.
Four weeks turns into six.
Six weeks turned into eight. Around this time God put something on our hearts we couldn't share publicly. Josh and I both had a deep desire to make a major change in our lives. We had drug our feet for a long time. We knew what we wanted to do, but we had no idea what the path would look like. We became intentional in preparing. We just started putting one foot in front of the other. As we stepped, God lit the path on the next step.

Twelve weeks had passed before I knew it. That holiday break turned into more of a sabbatical. Right as I was starting to make a comeback to the blogging world, God blew the doors open on our dream. Josh had received a job offer in California. We had two weeks to pack up the house and move 2500 miles away. Blogging was put on hold again.
Here I sit, roughly 18 weeks later, and I marvel at what God has done. We're living life more simply. We're happy to be back closer to family after 9 years in North Carolina. We're thankful for generous family members who have supported us. I don't know exactly what ThePelsers.com will look like in this next season, but here's what I can tell you…
A New Season
Like my friend Amy at Raising Arrows wrote this week, I'm done playing the “game.” I don't want to overload you, my readers, with fluff. I want to bring your quality information and inspiration. Some weeks that might be a post every day. Other weeks that might mean I'm completely silent as I wait on God or work on new products for Kids in the Word.
Ultimately, I want my words to bless and uplift you. I want The Pelsers to be a shelter for your heart. A place where you can come and relax. A place where you can find encouragement and inspiration. A place where you can encounter God in the midst of real life faith, motherhood, and homeschooling.
