I’m hijacking my own weekly meme. Can I do that? It’s my blog, so I guess I can, now can’t I?
Part of keeping my kids in the Word is being a good example of being in the Word myself. To take that a step further, I have to be an example of taking care of myself. And taking it another step, I have to be a good example of being obedient and following God.
Jonathan and I had an interesting discussion about lent, temptation, and sacrifice. I explained the tradition of giving something up for Lent to help us focus on God during this season. Tasha’s recommendation was to help your child give up something for one week. Baby steps, right?
We’ve been reading from Judges over the last few weeks. We’ve learned a BIG word: apostasy. I love how What’s in the Bible? DVD 4 explains the cycle of apostasy.
I want to introduce you to a friend: Tasha Via. We attended the same church for a few years, but now they live in Raleigh, NC. She and her husband, Josh, have the most amazing family, including a little girl that they recently brought home from Uganda. My family has been seriously under the weather the last 4-5 days. We haven’t done much of anything but sleep since what seems to be the norovirus hit our family.
